Malaysian-born Pele Kuah`s insatiable passion for food started at an early age while helping his mother out with mise en place in her job as a private cook for a Japanese corporation.
He grew up harboring a single ambition to make exceptional food and pursued a path of culinary mastery.
With more than 13 years of experience, starting with an apprenticeship at JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur, Chef Pele built a solid name for himself, honing his skills and quickly rising up the ranks in 5-star hotels, including the Renaissance Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental, where he won numerous awards and competitions.
Whether he`s operating out of a banquet kitchen, an industrial one or a simple restaurant, Chef Pele`s true talents lie not only in the quality of his food exceptionally good, honest food packed with his secret ingredients but also in his openness to collaborate with other chefs who are as passionate about food as he is.
